Under the pseudonym of Fleur de Lys hides a
multi talents artist. She is a french artist,
painter, photographer, digital artist and now
actress, known under another name for her pictorial
surrealist work as well as for her search in
experimental and artistic photography (' Natural
and Abstraction').
Fleur de Lys presents in the X'Art Gallery her
new vintage of digital art: '
Natura X '.
Thanks to a realistic and oneiric representation
of sexuality, Fleur de Lys takes us in her poetic
universe.
These digital paintings were carried out using
a combination of traditional techniques and
modern means. The characters represented are
creatures, i.e. they do not exist in the real
world. They were created by computer starting
from drawings, paintings and photographs.
Fleur de Lys used all her knowledge in figurative
painting, photography and digital art to carry
out these images.
EroXart team is proud to be able to exhibit
and promote these fine art paintings: we are
unanimously subjugated by their esthetism and
the originality of their expressivity. We hope
you will share our enthusiasm!
| INTERVIEW
with Fleur de Lys |
eroXart: " your
new vintage ' Natura X ' offers a new glance on sex."
Fleur de Lys: " in my opinion the role of the artist is
to be a mediator between the world and the society.
In this case, my artistic goal was to reach
a idealized representation, even sublimated,
bodies of the man and the woman during the sex
act, while privileging the esthetism. The natural
environment of the scenes is also there to recall
that having sex is a natural act."
eroXart: " well, that's original! and perhaps a something
new in the world of Art and Porn!"
Fleur de Lys: " I
hope so! I wanted to take up this challenge:
to show that sex can be beautiful even in a
representation without artistic turnings and
blurs ... "
eroXart: " these
images appear to us to come out of the ordinary,
these paintings are not exclusively made for
males, as it is for most of the X-rated web
sites."
Fleur de Lys: " yes, I have voluntarily selected to show
as well couples and naked men in action. Before
I started with this project, I had never surfed
on X-rated web sites. A few times I've had the
occasion to see a X-rated movie and that had
put to me rather in anger: the preliminaries
were non-existent; the men were not shown, aside
their sex in erection; as for the women with
long varnished nails showing their tongue...
these films were definitely not intended for
straight female audience. It is true that today
this tendency seems to be reversed, young artists
come to porn movies with creativity and ideas
and I guess there is also more investments in
the business than before."
eroXart: " Internet
however contains many pornographic sites, some
are known as "pink", intended for women!"
Fleur de Lys: " for
women... who are moved by little then! No seriously,
you are right, it exists a new current tendency
answering the fact that certain women of our
time want to see naked men on the Net without
having to go on the Gay sites! Thus I hope that
women will also appreciate eroXart!
eroXart: " is there a political and social step in your
work?"
Fleur de Lys: " I
share the opinion of some people, including
pornography producer Larry Flynt and the writer
Salman Rushdie, who have argued that pornography
is vital to freedom and that a free and civilized
society should be judged by its willingness
to accept pornography (Wikipedia source).
It's also true that the Women's Liberation in
our societies opened large the gate to a sexual
use of the image of the woman, but isn't there
a consequence of the generalized exploitation
of the cultural phenomena by the merchants and
the advertising agencies?
Most of the women in our contemporary Western
societies have not been under the conditioning
of the "old fashion" education which
intended them for a life of submission. They
suffer less than their mothers from complexes
and sexual repressions. Unfortunately, this
movement towards the equality of men and women,
this progress towards freedom, is already threatened
by the religious extremists of all sides."
Fleur de Lys also makes
us the honour illustrate the new pornographic
Stories writen by Rachel de Voisuny.
